Whispers hears the first home in the Black Apple pocket neighorbood in Bentonville has been sold.

You may recall our Feb. 1 cover story about the unique residential development, where 11 high-end homes are squeezed onto a 1.03-acre lot just north of the downtown square and overlooking the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

Christy Walton, who lives primarily in Wyoming, bought the Bentonville land three years ago for $455,000, then hired Virginia-based design-build firm GreenSpur to develop the pocket neighborhood concept, Arkansas’ first.

The first property to go was a 1,750-SF unit for $600,000, or $342.85 per SF.

The buyer? Galen and Debi Havner.
