Highway Commission Awards Highway 265 Contract to Crossland

The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Benton County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
The purpose of the project is to construct Arkansas Highway 265 on a new location for approximately 4 miles. The three-lane roadway will extend from Arkansas Highway 264 northward to Pleasant Grove Road in Lowell.
Crossland Construction Co. was awarded the contract at $15.4 million.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the next month, weather permitting. Completion is expected in late 2017.
