The Hart family of Oklahoma has purchased the property at the northwest corner of Sycamore Street and College Avenue in Fayetteville for $322,500, and is in the process of building a new Daisy Exchange store at the location.

The resale shop, which focuses on clothing for college students and young adults, is expected to open sometime in spring 2016. Oelke Construction Co. of Springdale is the contractor.

Located at 2407 N. College Ave. for the past five years, the Fayetteville Daisy Exchange is part of a five-store chain out of Oklahoma City that was founded by the Hart family.

Assistant manager Tobie Spelts, a graduate of the apparel studies program at the University of Arkansas, said the new location will offer greater convenience for customers through easier access and proximity to the university.

Eighty percent of the merchandise at Daisy Exchange is used, while 20 percent, including all jewelry, is new. The store accepts all forms of apparel on a cash and store-credit basis.
