Wal-Mart Stores Inc. announced Tuesday it is expanding its online grocery pickup test in the Northwest Arkansas area to include pickup at five Neighborhood Market stores in Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville.

Customers using the free service will be able to order fresh groceries online or from a mobile device, and pick them up at a participating store without having to get out of their cars.

Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 16, customers can shop at Walmart.com/grocery and schedule a pickup time on or after Sept. 23 at participating Neighborhood Market stores. The service will be available seven days a week.

The five participating Walmart Neighborhood Markets are:

  • Fayetteville, 2690 E. Citizens Drive
  • Springdale, 4900 Jennifer Terrace
  • Rogers, 808 W. Walnut (opens Sept. 23)
  • Bentonville,1703 E. Central Ave.
  • Bentonville,1400 N. Walton Blvd.

The new pickup points join the current Walmart Pickup-Grocery location, a 15,000-SF building near the corner of Dodson Road and Walton Boulevard that opened last year.
