The U.S. Small Business Administration has awarded a Fayetteville company with a funding opportunity that could potentially reach $1 million.

Startup Junkie Consulting is one of seven groups nationally to be awarded a ScaleUp America Award, an initiative designed to help small firms with high potential “scale up” and grow their businesses so that they will provide more jobs and have a greater economic impact, both locally and nationally.

The award will provide $200,000 to the company in year one with the potential value increasing to a total of $1 million over the next five years.

With the money, Startup Junkie Consulting will deliver ScaleUp Ozarks, a comprehensive, intensive assistance program to established high-potential small businesses, particularly women, minority and veteran entrepreneurs, that are primed for growth beyond the startup or early stages.

This includes four key components of: delivering a proven entrepreneurship education curriculum for growth oriented entrepreneurs and small businesses?¾ providing ongoing one-on-one support, mentoring and technical assistance?¾ assistance and connections to growth capital?¾ and opportunities to build and strengthen connections and networks in their community.

“We are honored and humbled to be one of seven successful applicants nationally to be funded to run the SBA’s ScaleUp program,” said Jeff Amerine, Startup Junkie Consulting founder. “With up to $1 million in funding, ScaleUp Ozarks will help good companies become great over the next 5 years.”
