Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock announced Thursday that FKP Architects of Houston, Texas, and Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects of Little Rock have been chosen as the architectural firms to lead the design of the health care organization’s new hospital in Springdale.
Polk Stanley also has a local office in Fayetteville at 509 W. Spring St.
“We’re in the ‘planning to plan’ phase of our work,” Robert W. Steele vice president and chief strategy officer for ACH, said in a news release. “With FKP and Polk Stanley Wilcox, we have excellent national and local vision for architectural and engineering design and planning.”
Steele said ACH is “actively recruiting an administrative leader to oversee key leadership positions and the on-site construction of the new campus.”
The hospital plans to break ground on the new facility in spring 2016.
