“Read, Write, Share” a Writer’s Workshop

What: “Read, Write, Share” A Writers Workshop and Book Fair. This one-day writers’ workshop is for authors, artists and writers interested in learning and discussing writing. Published authors and nonprofit groups will also be able to exhibit information, or sell books during the “Book Fair.” 
Co-Sponsors:  Writing our World Publishing; Fort Smith Adult Education Center; The Fort Smith Roundtable; The Lincoln Echo Newspaper, USW Local #9452 and other yet to be announced Fort Smith sponsors.

When:   October 10, 2015, from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Where:  2107 Brazil Street, Fort Smith, AR  72908

Workshop Structure:   The day will include 1) a Writers Circle, a networking session 2) “Writing our Lives” Memoir Writing workshop, 3) The workshop luncheon, 4) a panel discussion on the keys to creating memorable characters and crafting stories that “stick to the bone,” 5) The afternoon session,  “Writing it South,” – on creating southern voices and characters, and 6) “Sharing our Stories” session – published authors present their books in five minutes.  The day ends with a Book Fair.   The workshop fee is $35. Early bird rate is $30, through September 15.  Only the first 50 registrants will be accepted. The last date for registration is September 30.
