1 Million Cups Preview: Meet The Players

1 Million Cups will hold a panel discussion Wednesday morning to chat about the development of the startup landscape in Little Rock.
Those present on the panel will be Lee Watson, President of The Venture Center; Jay Chesshir, CEO of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce; and Brent Birch, Executive Director of the Little Rock Tech Park.
Between the three organizations, Central Arkansas has seen a surge of entrepreneurial and startup activity.
The Venture Center holds regular monthly events such as Code•IT!, various activities, and 1 Million Cups, while the Tech Park is the home of several developers, startups and entrepreneurs.
In addition, Talk Business & Politics Business Editor Wesley Brown reported on Monday that the Little Rock Technology Park Authority Board issued a Request for Proposal to “to finance the first phase of a $30 million planned multi-phase downtown development to boost the city’s much-talked about startup and tech community.”
No doubt the panel may have more information regarding the future of the Tech Park, which, in turn, affects The Venture Center, entrepreneurs and startups.
