Dassault To Open Spare Parts Center In Kentucky To Support LR, U.S. Operations

Dassault Falcon Jet plans to open a “spare parts” center in Louisville, Ky., that will complement the French jet maker’s other existing distribution centers in Little Rock, San Jose, Calif., Wilmington and Teterboro, N.J., company officials announced Thursday.
The Kentucky regional distribution center will be strategically located at UPS Worldport international hub in Louisville, where it will be stocked with the most frequently ordered Falcon parts. The Louisville facility will be operational before the end of the year, and will allow customers to extend the deadline for daily spare parts orders.
“Using UPS aircraft, our customers will experience faster service, later loading, next day delivery and lower cost ground transportation,” said Geoff Chick, Vice President of Customer Service for the Western Hemisphere. “Delivering the parts our customers need, when they need them, is at the forefront of all of our spares efforts.”
Dassault is considered the business aviation market leader in spare parts availability with an industry leading 98.5% spares service level. The French company’s global spares network consists of 13 regional distribution centers located around the world, housing nearly $800 million in Falcon spare parts and 300,000 unique part numbers.
The Paris-based aircraft giant’s combined service and completion center operations in Little Rock occupy nearly 1,000,000 total square feet, making it the largest Dassault facility in the world. Current production model Falcons are manufactured in France, and then flown to the Little Rock completion center where optional avionics and custom interiors are installed, and exteriors are painted.
Dassault Aircraft Services at the Little Rock National Airport also operates a “one-stop shop” for all inspection, maintenance, modification, completion and repair needs, and is 100% dedicated to supporting only the Falcon product line.
Over the past three years, Dassault’s new completion facility in Little Rock has been undergoing a $60 million expansion. The 250,000 square feet project will allow the company to handle new aircraft projects and upgrade existing facilities, including the Falcon 5x and 8x models.
