Bo Mattingly will move his sports talk radio program to Springdale-based ESPN affiliate KAKS-FM, 99.5, “Hog Sports Radio”, starting June 29.

“Sports Talk With Bo Mattingly” will also be heard on ESPN 1290 AM.

Jay Bunyard of De Queen, who owns Bunyard Broadcasting Inc., owns both stations.

“We are extremely excited to have Bo Mattingly join our line up at ESPN 99.5/ESPN 1290,” Grant Smith, vice president of BBI, said in a news release. “It has been a goal of ours to have him partner with us since we started our sports talk station in 2008. After acquiring the ESPN affiliate approximately two years ago, we felt that this was the last piece of the puzzle that we needed to build the premier sports talk station in Northwest Arkansas. We love the Razorbacks, and now we will be the source for news and information about the Hogs.”

Mattingly’s program, which originates from Fayetteville, is currently heard in Northwest Arkansas on KQSM-FM, 92.1 “The Ticket.”, which is owned by Cumulus Media. It airs weekdays from 2 to 6 p.m. and can be heard throughout the state on several stations including KSMD-FM, 99.1, in Searcy; KTTG-FM, 96.3, in Barling; and KBCN-FM, 104.3, in Harrison.
