Rogers Hosting National Summit for Hispanic Executives in May
Northwest Arkansas will host this year’s spring summit of the Washington, D.C.-based National Hispanic Corporate Council on May 19–21.
Venues for the summit include the Walmart Museum in Bentonville, the Tyson Foods Inc. headquarters in Springdale and the Embassy Suites in Rogers.
The council is expecting about 100 executive-level professionals from Fortune 1000 companies throughout the country, said Octavio Hinojosa Mier, executive director.
Robert Rodriguez, president of Chicago-based Dr. Robert Rodriguez Advisors LLC, will serve as keynote speaker for the event.
Other featured speakers include Rashad Delph, director of talent branding, pipeline strategy and global mobility at Tyson, and Geovanny Sarmiento, vice president of minority business development at the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce.
The NHCC is a nonprofit organization that works to provide companies with a multi-layered approach and resources to effectively maximize the diversity of the Hispanic market, according to its website.
NHCC will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year, Hinojosa Mier said.
Tyson and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. of Bentonville are co-sponsoring the event, and both companies are strong supporters of NHCC, Sarmiento said.
