Wes Brown Named Business Editor, TB&P Podcasts To Launch
Wes Brown, a regular contributor to Talk Business & Politics, has been named Business Editor for the multi-media organization and will oversee an expansion of content for the statewide news group.
Brown, former business editor with Stephens Media’s Arkansas News Bureau and the Morning News of Northwest Arkansas, has a three decade career in business news coverage. He will manage daily business news coverage, contribute a once a week opinion column, and co-anchor a new business podcast that will start next week.
“I have known and worked with Wes Brown for years and am thrilled that he has agreed to take on new duties to drive our business news coverage,” said Talk Business & Politics Editor-in-Chief. “Our readers will find his reporting and analysis thorough and insightful.”
“I have been an admirer and close follower of the Talk Business & Politics brand from its infant stage as a ‘blog’ when the print and newspaper industry was undergoing major upheaval,” said Brown. “I am excited to join Roby at this stage of TB&P’s development as a multimedia organization, and look forward to fostering insightful, interesting and intriguing business and financial news coverage that touches every corner of the state.”

PODCASTS
Talk Business & Politics will launch two new podcasts beginning next week.
In addition to a Sunday podcast of our weekly television program, Talk Business & Politics, which airs on KATV Ch. 7 and on NPR stations across Arkansas, a business podcast and political podcast will also begin.
Brock and Brown will co-anchor TB&P’s “Talk Business” podcast, which will be available on Tuesdays at 4 p.m. on our web site, the iTunes store, and Stitcher. The podcast will feature interviews, analysis and deeper coverage of big stories in the business arena.
Brock and political columnist Jessica DeLoach Sabin will co-anchor TB&P‘s “Talk Politics” podcast, which will be available on Thursdays at 4 p.m. in the same channels. The political podcast will also feature interviews with major political figures, analysis of key policy debates, and deeper coverage of issues in the legislative realm.
“Jessica is an immense talent and I’m looking forward to her bringing her intellectual curiosity to the political debates of the day in this podcast, her columns, and on-camera analysis,” said Brock. “She will be engaging with our other political contributors in these endeavors in a way that I know political animals will enjoy.”
“I am grateful for the opportunity to expand the breadth of my contributions through this additional format. Roby has done an outstanding job in establishing Talk Business & Politics as a reliable and trusted source for news and commentary in Arkansas, and I am committed to creating an engaging and informative podcast that delivers a substantive and bipartisan take on our state’s most important political and policy issues.”
