Bank of the Ozarks garners top ranking

Bank of the Ozarks has been named the top performing bank in the nation by Bank Director magazine in the industry publication’s 2014 performance scorecard results.

It is the second year the Little Rock-based institution has garnered the top spot for banks having $1 billion to $5 billion in assets. The report evaluates a bank’s performance using key metrics related to profitability, capital strength and asset quality. Only publicly traded U.S. banks are ranked in the report.

Bank of the Ozarks Inc. is a bank holding company with $6.58 billion in total assets with a charter that operates 159 banking offices in Arkansas, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, New York and California.
