The new owners of the building that houses the popular Fayetteville nightclub Dickson Street Theater are still mum about their long-term plans for the 5,000-SF property.

Ross Cully and Greg Billingsley, through CB Real Estate Holdings LLC, purchased the building, located at 227 W. Dickson St., for $630,000 in September.

Cully said after buying the building that Dickson Street Theater, operated by Benton Bandy and Wade Ogle, would remain open for the time being.

That is no longer the case, as men were seeing moving furniture and other equipment out of the building Dec. 18.

“The current tenant lease concludes [Dec. 19],” Cully wrote in an email.

Cully, a senior partner with Rogers-based sales and marketing company The Harvest Group, said the building will be available for lease for events starting in January.

Dickson Street Theater was originally developed in 2001 by Bandy and Jimmy Rapert — owners of JR’s Lightbulb Club and Pizzeria — as a “multi-type venue.” The building previously housed Adam’s Outfitters, an outdoor sporting goods store.

Though he hadn’t been involved in the business for several years, Rapert, now a home builder, had remained the building owner until selling the property earlier this year.
