Overwatch App Now Available at Apple Store
Bentonville startup Overwatch recently announced its mobile app is now available for free download on the iTunes store.
Born from the mind of 18-year-old CEO Josh Moody, the app integrates combat video games with battle sports.
“The approval by the Apple Store will get us in front of a lot of additional users, and we’re excited to get feedback from them and continue to build out the app that airsoft, paintball and laser tag players will really enjoy,” Michael Paladino, chief technology officer, said via telephone from the annual TechCrunch Disrupt event in San Francisco.
Paladino said the company’s participation in TechCrunch Disrupt also gets Overwatch in front of a larger audience and potential investors.
“We’re really poised to move forward quickly,” he said.
Founders say the next step is to get the Android app on the market and prepare the accompanying hardware, including wrist mounts and rail mounts, ready for online/in-store sales.
