Jay Thornton Launches Customer Acquisition Firm

Jay Thornton, who co-founded Collective Bias of Rogers, has put into action a business model he has been refining for several years, a customer acquisition company based in Northwest Arkansas called Cusac & Co.

Thornton and Jordan Carmon are managing partners of the firm. Both had previously worked at Tontitown-based creative branding agency Moxy Ox.

Thornton says Cusac & Co. utilizes big data analytics to target ideal customers for brands or retailers.

Thornton, who had been chief technical officer at Moxy Ox since February, said the firm has between 15 and 20 contractors (designers, application developers) and an advisory board that includes John Andrews, Mike Owens, Bryan Gott, Jeff Amerine, Jim Shankle and Sean Womack.

The company has signed two clients in the digital space, reached verbal agreements with two other clients on customer acquisition and is negotiating an agreement with a venture firm to handle the marketing for its retail and vendor clients.
