Chill Hills

The building that housed MarketPlace Express in Rogers for eight years has been empty since the restaurant closed May 2013.

A new tenant has apparently been found.

Hot Springs-based The Big Chill is set to expand with its second location when it opens at the 3000 Pinnacle Hills Parkway address.

Little Rock developer Leonard Boen owns the 3,800-SF building.

If the venues are similar, expect a setting that’s more music scene than restaurant. The business’s website touts “great live music every night, a special little menu for those of you that come in hungry, and plenty of parties,” and the menu notes the kitchen is only open from 5 to 11 p.m.

We hear the owner, Gina Parks, is targeting the first weekend of September for a grand opening.
