Springdale Restaurant Heads to West Little Rock

Springdale-based MarketPlace Grill is expanding into west Little Rock with plans to open a location at 11600 Pleasant Ridge Road this fall.
According to a press release issued by Restaurant Management Group LLC and MarketPlace Concepts LLC, the restaurant will employ as many as 90 people.
MarketPlace is leasing the location from Schickel Development. Prior to MarketPlace, the location housed a Johnny Carino’s.
“We are extremely excited about the opportunity that presents itself in Little Rock,” said Dave Godwin, a managing partner with MarketPlace. “We have had our eye on the market for quite some time and feel like we have secured an ideal location to serve the area.”
Godwin said he hopes to establish one more restaurant in the Little Rock market in the near future.
MarketPlace opened in Springdale in 1995. There are locations in Fort Smith and Conway and a MarketPlace Express in Fayetteville.
