Allens Changes Company Name To Sager Creek Vegetable Co.

Siloam Springs-based canned vegetable company Allens announced Tuesday a name change to Sager Creek Vegetable Co.
The change is effective immediately. Sager Creek Acquisitions Corp. acquired the 87-year-old Allens Inc., in February of this year for $124.7 million, four months after Allens filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Chris Kiser was named CEO in March. The company employs more than 1,000 people in Arkansas, Wisconsin and North Carolina and its vegetables are sold nationally and internationally.
