KATV, Talk Business & Politics Team Up For Election Night Coverage

On Tuesday, May 20, KATV Ch. 7 and Talk Business & Politics will be teaming up to give viewers maximum insight into the primary returns as part of our Election Central political coverage.
Polls for the Republican and Democratic primaries will close at 7:30 pm on Tuesday.
At 7 pm, the two news groups will begin live-streaming and broadcasting on TalkBusiness.net, KATV.com and KATV’s secondary digital channel (Comcast Ch. 207) for nearly three hours before the 10 pm Ch. 7 newscast.
Talk Business & Politics host Roby Brock will anchor the webcast. Guests include:
- Arkansas Democrat-Gazette political columnist John Brummett;
- Political Animals Club President Rex Nelson;
- Talk Business & Politics bloggers Jason Tolbert and Michael Cook;
- The Ch. 7 News Team stationed at many of the political campaign headquarters;
- Election night highlights from the Ch. 7 archives; and
- Several special political candidates and guests throughout the night.
“We know our viewers expect fast and accurate election numbers. With Election Central and Talk Business & Politics, we are excited to provide these results and analysis on all of our platforms — air, web and social media,” said KATV news director Nick Genty.
“We’ll be rolling election returns when they start coming in through our combined resources and offering viewers commentary and analysis all through the evening,” Brock said.
