Barth: Establishment GOP Candidates Faring Well

Political science professor Dr. Jay Barth says establishment Republican candidates — for the most part — are faring well in the latest Talk Business-Hendrix College Poll.

Appearing on this week’s Talk Business & Politics TV program, which airs at 9 am on Sundays, Barth said that the frontrunners in the latest polling all have financial, grassroots or deep-rooted political support. Tea Party insurgents are not winning these primaries, he said.

“The more establishment-oriented candidates tend to be doing pretty well,” Barth said. “This is not a Tea Party uprising year.”

Barth warns that with a lot of undecideds and a historically low turnout in GOP primaries, the results from our polling could change significantly by Election Day.

You can watch his full interview in the video below, plus Barth analyzes the Tom Cotton TV ad, “At Ease,” and a new U.S. Senate ad in Iowa that is raising eyebrows.
