Mercy Northwest Arkansas began construction Thursday on a new, 7,351-SF multispecialty medical clinic in Centerton.

The $3 million facility will be located at 1225 E. Centerton Blvd./Arkansas Highway 102, on 6.2 acres of commercial land donated by Johnelle Hunt.

It is scheduled to open this fall.

Centerton has one of the fastest growing populations in the area, and Mercy aims to meet the increased health care need with the new clinic, according to a news release from the health care system.

Physician Lance Faddis has practiced at the first Centerton Mercy facility since it opened in 2004. “With the new [Bentonville] high school planned and many new families moving in, this is the perfect time for Mercy to make an even bigger commitment to this community,” he said.

The clinic is planned to house five providers, including two internal medicine and two pediatric physicians, one family medicine doctor, and two family medicine nurse practitioners. It will also offer rotating specialties based on the community’s needs, like cardiology, endocrinology and diabetic education, according to the news release.

“We cannot thank Ms. Hunt enough for donating the land and making this possible,” said Steve Goss, president of Mercy Clinics. “Her generosity is something that will truly bless many.”
