Register for a free Workshop on Ethics in Journalism presented by UofA Distinguished Visiting Professor of Ethics, veteran newsman and textbook author, Gene Foreman. A free continental breakfast – including coffee and pastries – will be provided.

The newly founded Center for Ethics in Journalism at the University of Arkansas is hosting a free workshop on Friday, Nov. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development on the UA campus. The Center's first Distinguished Visiting Professor of Ethics, Gene Foreman, will be the guest speaker at the event.
Foreman has more than 41 years experience working in the newsroom and taught journalism for nine years at Pennsylvania State University. His textbook on ethics in journalism, The Ethical Journalist: Making Responsible Decisions in the Pursuit of News (published by Wiley-Blackwell in 2009) is used widely in media ethics courses.
We encourage everyone to come out and participate – those currently working in the field, as well as those considering a career in the media – anyone who is interested in ethical issues and current trends in journalism.
