Specialized Real Estate Group has a new headquarters in downtown Fayetteville following a $540,000 renovation.

SREG’s new home at 15 N. Church Ave. will expand the company’s office space by about 450 SF, said CEO Jeremy Hudson.

The real estate company, previously headquartered in Springdale, paid Fayetteville businessman Mark Zweig $340,000 for the vacant office building in June 2012.

Zweig paid $256,000 for the building in August 2011. It was once the headquarters of KHBS/KHOG, Channels 40/29, the ABC affiliate for Northwest Arkansas.

SREG (1,725-SF) and architectural firm Modus Studio (3,831-SF) occupy most of the 7,000-SF building. Crown Barber Shop also is a first-floor tenant.

Hudson said a second level was also added to part of the building to create a 900-SF space. Fayetteville company DataRank occupies that space.

The building was built in 1955.

Hudson said the building renovation will be LEED certified, most likely at a Platinum level.

Building tenants will host a grand opening event September 13.
