New Additions, More Free Content Coming To Talk Business Arkansas

Editor’s note: Time to bring our readers, viewers and listeners up to speed on a number of changes forthcoming with our Talk Business Arkansas products and platforms.

1)  First, we are pleased to announce that J.R. Davis will beef up our coverage of Washington, D.C. and northwest Arkansas political news. Davis, a former communications director to Cong. Steve Womack (R), is an anchor at KNWA, the NBC affiliate in northwest Arkansas and sister station to our content partner, KARK Ch. 4, in Little Rock. Davis will be providing web content and video reports on federal and state political news in addition to his daytime anchor duties.

2)  Talk Business Arkansas and Capitol View will begin airing in northwest Arkansas in September. We’re proud to be expanding our TV coverage to the Fort Smith-Fayetteville market and hope to provide that region of the state more access to our brand of business and political news and analysis as well as bring central Arkansas viewers news from northwest Arkansas. We’ll share specific time slots on the NBC and Fox affiliates in the market closer to our launch date.

3)  Talk Business Arkansas will take our content partnership with The City Wire to another level. TCW editor Michael Tilley will make regular appearances on our TV and radio programs as we expand in northwest Arkansas. Also, we will be sharing an expansion of writers’ talent in the region to provide more local and statewide stories. The bottom line is you’ll see even more content on our web site as a result of our collaboration.

4)  This fall, we will launch a new Business Leaders Confidence Survey and resume our Consumer Confidence polling. We’re partnering with CEG Partners, a Little Rock-based consulting group that works with high-performance companies, to create a new measurement tool to gauge what top level executives – CEO’s, CFO’s, company presidents and top managers – consider challenges and opportunities in the current and future economy. This data will compliment our Consumer Confidence reports, which share insights regarding Arkansas shoppers, their buying habits and attitudes.

5)  Finally, a great addition to our Talk Business Arkansas team is Kerri Jackson Case, who will be joining us in September as our managing editor. A successful writer, blogger and social media expert, Case has a strong background in public relations and public affairs and is an award winning reporter. She will provide more enterprise business reporting and coordinate a lot of the behind-the-scenes content management for Talk Business Arkansas.

And there’s more to come, which we’ll be revealing in the coming weeks. Thanks to our advertisers and existing content partners and contributors for helping us grow our products and platforms in the last few years. FYI, some of these changes will present new advertising and marketing opportunities for sponsors.

That’s one way we keep Talk Business Arkansas free for your consumption and we encourage you to share our news with your friends, co-workers and colleagues.
