Making Sure Moore is OK

The River Valley Regional Food Bank is teaming up with Atwoods, Arkansas Blood Institute and KTCS to conduct a food drive and blood drive on Thursday, May 30 from 8:30 a.m. until noon.   Our efforts will help to replenish our blood banks following the disaster and Memorial holiday as well as to help stock the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma with supplies.  Recovery from a tornado strike can take a family over a year.  Each holiday is a painful reminder of what was lost to the storm.  As each family tries to piece their life together, the strain on their budget takes a tool.  Generally, they cut back on both the quality and quantity of food they need.  We will help Western Oklahoma stock their pantries with your help.  Please bring any types of nonperishable foods you'd like to donate.  Most requested items include cans of beef stew, chili, ravioli and tuna; jarred spaghetti sauce, pancake mix, boxed macaroni and cheese, canned beans and vegetables.  Thank you for helping.
