Angus Jack Opens at West Sunset Location
Justin Malonson and Ian Cairns are capitalizing on their two-plus decades of restaurant experience with a venture of their own in Springdale.
The men opened their own restaurant, Angus Jack, on April 8 at 2638 W. Sunset Ave. They are leasing the 3,750-SF building, which housed Rockin’ Chicken before it closed last summer, through an agreement with building owner Sam Mathias.
Malonson said the restaurant is open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The restaurant’s signature menu item will be burgers, but Malonson said patrons will be “knocking down the door” for the freshly made, hand-cut fries.
Angus Jack also has a secret menu, Malonson said. He hopes its popularity will be driven through social media.
A Facebook page for the restaurant was created Feb. 16, and had collected about 2,350 “likes” in less than two months.
The restaurant has seating capacity for 98 diners plus a drive-thru window, and accommodates call-in orders.
