Nationally-known gardening expert and television host, P. Allen Smith, who the New York Times calls “the Martha Stewart of the South,” offers tours at his new Garden Home Retreat at Moss Mountain Farm which sits on top of a ridge overlooking the Arkansas River Valley. Based on a 19th century American farmstead, the grounds include a Greek Revival “green” farmhouse, terraced gardens, a rose garden, a one acre vegetable garden, croquet lawn, orchards, daffodil hill, pastures, poultry, two terraced gardens, sheep, and even a donkey named “Moose”. Wear comfortable walking shoes as you explore this idyllic setting which blurs the lines between garden and home, heritage and modern. Spend a leisurely afternoon at the Garden Home Retreat enjoying the company of friends and good food in this gorgeous setting. Lunch included.
