Have you noticed the new, prominent signage near the top of the tallest building in Bentonville?
As evidenced by the large white lettering of the company’s name, Tata Consultancy Services has entered into an eight-year lease agreement to occupy the entire top floor of the nine-story Bentonville Plaza near the Wal-Mart Stores Inc. home office.
TCS, an IT services, business solutions and outsourcing organization based in India, relocated to Bentonville Plaza from a smaller office building in Bentonville to accommodate its growing local presence. The new space is about 30,000 SF, enough room for TCS to begin with 120 employees and room to accommodate 200.
Buildouts are nearly complete and the office should be fully operational by mid-January, we’re told.
TCS, according to its website, is part of the Tata group, one of India’s largest industrial conglomerates and most-respected brands. Its footprint includes 44 countries and more than 250,000 IT professionals.
