The Arkansas Department of Education has revamped its web site with a fresh look and new organization of features.

The department said the move was 6 months in the making and was geared to making the site more user-friendly and accessible.

“We’re very excited about the new features and access to information this site provides our users,” said Commissioner of Education Dr. Tom Kimbrell. “This is another step in our goal to meet the needs of students, educators, parents and citizens.”

The website — ArkansasEd.org — has an upgraded search engine and newly designed links to other agency-related sites.

The site’s new homepage features photographs and graphics that highlight ADE programs and initiatives, a calendar of events, and a new section, “Most Asked Questions.”
