FAYETTEVILLE — Tom Clark, a retiree and volunteer photographer for the City of Fayetteville, has put together a collection of photos now hanging on the walls of city hall and dubbed the City Hall Gallery of Contemporary Pictures.

Fayetteville Mayor Lioneld Jordan will formally dedicate the gallery on the second floor of city hall at 4 p.m. Tuesday (July 31),  prior to the Fayetteville City Council’s agenda session

Clark began taking photos for the City of Fayetteville as a volunteer last year, but even before that he donated years of photography and design experience to help create an archive of Fayetteville’s history for the enjoyment of future generations. He’s taken hundreds of pictures of Fayetteville and donated them to the city for use on the city’s website and other purposes.

The City Hall Gallery of Contemporary Fayetteville Pictures features some of the more iconic spots in Fayetteville, as captured bby Clark. The new gallery is a welcome addition to the pictorial gallery of historic Fayetteville on the third floor that went up earlier this year. Both exhibits are open for viewing during normal city hall hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
