Art Parking in Planning

We’ve been wondering what the folks at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art planned to do with the large construction staging area that runs along Northeast J Street in Bentonville.

Turns out, they want to use it as a temporary parking lot, with 100 spaces for cars and six for buses.

The request for a conditional use permit submitted to Bentonville planners states, “At this time the applicant does not know whether the lot will be constructed of asphalt or gravel.”

It also states that landscaped berms will be installed to screen the lot from the street.
