Clean & Green: Sprucing Up Sherwood

It’s spring cleaning time in Arkansas and across America.

It started March 1, and for the next three months Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup will involve millions of community volunteers coast-to-coast who will be picking up litter and trash, planting trees and flowers, and collecting recylables.

Locally, the Great American Cleanup in Arkansas is coordinated and promoted by the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission, which encourages communities to become involved in the annual effort.

One north Pulaski County city, Sherwood, takes up the challenge every year, and for this segment of Clean and Green we join its crew of volunteers and community leaders for their recent cleanup blitz.
