The Arkansas Trucking Association (ATA) has retained Noelle Nikpour, a nationally known Republican strategist and political news commentator, to serve as an ATA consultant.

“As we enter the 2012 political cycle, Noelle will help us coordinate support for those legislators who are working to create a pro-business, pro-trucking environment in Arkansas,” said Lane Kidd, ATA president.

“Trucking is highly regulated and is the single largest industry source of taxes for our highways and bridges. We must support those legislators who are working for fair regulations and for an efficient use of our highway taxes,” he added.

“Noelle will help us improve our effectiveness in coordinating industry support for those legislators who support the trucking industry,” said Kidd. “Her consulting role will include assisting ATA in identifying key political races, coordinating events and fundraising.”

Nikpour is a nationally known Republican strategist and consultant. A native of Arkansas, she is a frequent guest commentator on such national programs as Fox Business, Fox and Friends, Fox Red Eye, and Hannity, as well as being a syndicated columnist.

“I’m excited at the prospect of working with the Arkansas Trucking Association and personally visiting with the business executives who work in this critically important industry,” said Nikpour.

Nikpour will join Bill Vickery and Frederick Freeman who also serve the ATA in various political and governmental affairs consulting roles.
