Baldwin & Shell Starts $2.7M Life Styles Building

Baldwin & Shell Contractors of Springdale recently broke ground on a 16,300-SF building in west Fayetteville. The permit valuation on the building was $2.74 million.

The one-story building will eventually be administration offices and the college for living for Life Styles Inc., a non-profit serving individuals with developmental disabilities in Washington and Benton counties.

The building will be known as the Stensgaard Center. About 20 employees will eventually work in the building.

Subcontractors include Campbell Electric and RGC Glass, both of Fayetteville; American AC and Mechanical, Miller Commercial Flooring, Burnett Painting Contractors, all of Springdale; and National Specialties Drywall of Van Buren.

Bates & Associates of Fayetteville is the engineer on the project and the building was designed by Ken Shireman & Associates, also of Fayetteville.

The building should be complete by April.

 

Copia Buys Sunbridge Homes

Courtney M. Smith, through the Copia Properties LLC, recently purchased 15 single-family homes in Fayetteville’s Sunbridge Villas subdivision for $2.65 million. The subdivision is located between Sunbridge Drive and E. Drake Street, west of College Avenue.

Smith purchased the homes from Lonoke-based First State Bank. The bank foreclosed on the properties from Sunbridge Villas Development1 LLC, which was operated by James W. Smith and Henry D. Broyles.

Courtney Smith signed a mortgage with First State Bank for $2.67 million.

 

Andersons Buy Tontitown Home

Michael and Marlene Anderson recently purchased a home at 1390 Kissinger Ave. and a parcel of land at 1022 Kissinger Ave. in Tontitown for $673,000.

The 4,290-SF home was built in 2002 and recently appraised for $729,650.

The home has an 18-foot by 36-foot swimming pool, two fireplaces, 2,400 liner feet of split rail fencing and 49,915 SF of concrete driveway.

The Andersons purchased the home and land from Arch Bay Holdings.
