Additional Standridge Insurance offices are sold

More offices of Steve Standridge Insurance Inc. have been sold, Whispers has learned.

Standridge, as some readers likely remember, has faced accusations of fraud by the Arkansas Insurance Department. The AID also indicated this summer Standridge is being investigated by the FBI.

What’s known for sure is Standridge signed a consent revocation order, permanently revoking his insurance license and leaving the company in the hands of his children, Alisha Pollock and Jared Standridge. They had sold at least two of the agency’s offices as of early July.

Now, as we understand it, Greg Sims, president of the newly formed Sims & Renner Insurance LLC, has purchased his personal book of business from SSI’s Conway office. Sims also bought the books of SSI’s Rogers office and Renner and Company in Fayetteville.

Standridge had consolidated several Northwest Arkansas offices, including Renner and Company, some years ago. As of Aug. 1, Sims and his employees, including Kevin Renner and Judy Watson are doing work under the Sims and Renner name.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
