Business Journal Seeks ?Greenest Office? Noms

The Northwest Arkansas Business Journal is now accepting nominations for its third annual “Greenest Office” contest.
“Greenest Office” is a competition designed to acknowledge and celebrate businesses in Northwest Arkansas that have implemented sustainable and conservation practices as a company culture.
A “green” office is one that takes into account employee behavior and innovation as well as energy efficiency and conservation. It’s about people, policy and practices; not just windows and walls.
Winners will be awarded in five categories and entrants will be judged by an independent panel of “green” professionals.
The categories are:
- Category I – one overall Northwest Arkansas winner
- Category II – a company that occupies a building it commissioned
- Category III – a company that leases space in a building that already existed
- Category VI – a company with 1-49 employees
- Category V – a company with 50 or more employees
All winning companies will be featured in the Sustainable Practices issue of the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal to be published on October 18.
The deadline for nominations is Aug. 30. Nominations are to be submitted at www.arkansasbusiness.com/green_office.asp.
