Banker Loren Shackelford has left his post as the Fayetteville market president for Signature Bank of Arkansas. He stepped down on July 1.

But we hear he’s got a new gig lined up. David Russell, First Security Bank’s Fayetteville market president, said Shackelford will be starting work as a commercial lender at the bank’s Joyce Boulevard branch on July 26.

Shackelford, you may remember, was one of the first round of bankers who followed Gary Head from Arvest Bank back in 2004 to start up Signature.

So far this year, the bank has cut staff, announced it will close one branch and is in negotiations to sell two others.
