Empty eatery spaces get their fill

It’s been a little more than a year since we wrote a story about the glut – more than 54,000 SF – of chain-type restaurant space that was sitting unused in Benton and Washington counties.

Well, we’re happy to announce another chunk of that space  – 7,800 SF – soon will be filled. Craig McKee and a couple of silent partners are on the verge of opening McB’s at Pinnacle Hills, a pub-style restaurant that also will feature a big, handsome bar.

McB’s will occupy the former home of Fuddruckers, but you’d never know it thanks to extensive remodeling work. In addition to areas for darts and billiards, McB’s will have a stage that can be used for occasional live entertainment or additional seating.

A hard date hasn’t been set, but the plan is to open in time for football season.
