Banking wonks that sift through Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. data might’ve noticed a branching oddity, then wondered if they missed news about Arvest Bank making moves to Texas.
According to the FDIC, the Fayetteville-chartered bank has a location at 5700 Granite Parkway in Plano, Texas.
Not so, a spokeswoman said. The office was tied to SolutionsBank of Overland Park, Kan., which Arvest acquired in December when Solutions failed.
Arvest did not take the Plano office as part of its deal, and officials aren’t sure why the location shows up on the FDIC radar.
The FDIC did not return a phone call before press time.
