Russell Exits Sparks For Northwest Health

Greg Russell, former communications director at Sparks Health System will be leaving the Fort Smith area for similar territory a bit to the north.

Russell announced Oct. 29 that he would be joining the marketing team at Northwest Health System as director of marketing and communications. His last day at Sparks was Halloween, and he started at Northwest on Nov. 1.

“I said I’d never do this again with leaving one job one day and starting the new one the next day,” he said. “But I’ve done it again.”

The transition will be smooth, Russell said, because the skill set required for his new position is similar to that of his old one.

The scope of the work will be larger however, because although Sparks has more physicians in its system, Northwest is spread across three campuses.”
