Fortune Article Tags Eduardo Castro-Wright
For those who haven’t had a chance to flip through their copy of Fortune magazine, the Feb. 6 issue tags Wal-Mart Store Inc.’s Eduardo Castro-Wright as one of 12 potential CEO-types, and one of the few heirs-apparent to succeed CEO Lee Scott.
Castro-Wright was named as president and CEO of Wal-Mart Stores USA in September, which means he oversees the company’s 3,000 plus Wal-Mart and Neighborhood Market stores in the U.S. But Fortune’s cover story on corporate star power nods at Castro-Wright’s success in Mexico and notes that Scott once held Castro-Wright’s current job.
Castro-Wright was president of Honeywell Transportation and Power Systems Worldwide before joining Wal-Mart Mexico in 2001.
