Eric Huber, 39, has channeled his artistic talents into a company that designs Web sites, publications, advertising and logos.

After receiving an art degree from Hendrix College in 1988, the Little Rock native moved to Fayetteville where he worked with computers and typesetting. In 1995, Huber moved to Paris, Ark., where he began designing Web sites from his home.

Huber and his sister, Amanda Huber, started Vulcan Creative Labs in Fayetteville in 1998. She is now a co-owner and CEO.

The company’s revenue has doubled every year since 1999. Vulcan currently has four employees, and Huber said he foresees adding more in the future.

Vulcan did the creative design for DeadFred.com, a Springdale-based genealogy photo archive that contains 51,552 records and 12,108 surnames.

Huber also served for six months in 2003 as creative director for the City Advertising and Promotion Commission in Eureka Springs.

Huber enjoys watching films and is currently writing two books, one fiction and one non-fiction.

He does pro bono work for the Special Olympics in Little Rock and is president of the Northwest Arkansas Art Directors Club.
