Telecom Titan Launches Hispanic Site

Alex Martinez, who started the Internet-based telecommunications firm NorthwestArkansasOnline.com last year in Rogers, has a new Web site he said makes NWAO “the first discount telecommunications company marketing exclusively to latinos in the U.S. and Mexico.”

Martinez, president and CEO of the firm, said www.cognigenlatino.com just launched and is bringing in “a lot of business.”

Martinez’s sites offer the gambit of Internet, wireless and phone services promising as much as 70 percent savings. About 90 percent of his estimated 1,000 customers come from outside Arkansas, he said.

With two full-time employees and five “consultants,” Martinez said his company is on pace to hit the $1 million sales mark the next two years.
