Gillihan, Beard Add To Moberly Offices (Real Deals)

Crossland Construction Co. of Rogers recently bought a building permit valued at $2 million to build a 22,000-SF office building in Bentonville’s Moberly Professional Park.

The developer is Moberly Professional Park LLC of which Doy Gillihan and Mike Beard are partners. This will be the third building on the nine-acre site that has a total of six lots. Moberly Professional has plans to pave the road through to Phyllis Street. The new office building will lease from $18 per SF.

Great Southern Bank of Springfield is the financier.

Miller Boskus Lack Architects of Springdale is the architect and CEI Engineering Associates Inc. of Bentonville is the engineer.

Kinco Goes Clubbing With Springdale Work

Kinco Constructors LLC of Springdale bought a building permit valued at $1.9 million on April 20 to begin construction on the new Springdale Country Club clubhouse facility. Construction on the 28,000-SF building is expected to be complete in May 2005. Jerry Spangler of Tunnell-Spangler-Walsh in Atlanta is the architect for the project. The engineer is Brian Moore of ESI in Springdale. First Security, Arvest, United Bank, all of Springdale, First State Bank and Simmons First, both of Fayetteville, are financing the construction.

The new clubhouse will have about 1,400 SF of workout facilities, saunas for the women’s and men’s locker rooms and three meeting rooms that will seat 290 people. The existing pro-shop will be doubled in size. There will also be a new pool installed in phase II.

Once the new club is complete, the existing one will be torn down. It was last remodeled in 1975.

Kinco also recently started construction on the 30,000-SF University of Arkansas Men’s Athletic Training Center. ECI of Little Rock is the structural engineer. Wittenberg Delony & Davidson Inc. is the architect.

The $4.4 million center will include weight-training and spring-training facilities.

May Renovates Church Space

May Construction Co. of Fayetteville recently bought two building permits valued at a combined $1.5 million to renovate existing space of the former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and school in Fayetteville.

Rob Merryship, Richard Alexander and Ted Belden of North College Development Company LLC are the developers of Lafayette Lotts. The project includes three buildings totaling 37,000 SF that are divided into 33 condo units. Twenty-two units will be two-bedroom and the remainder will be one bedroom.

Randy Hammock of Fenneil Purifoy Hammock Architects of Little Rock is the architect. Kent Davis of Northwest Arkansas Engineering is the the structural engineer. Geary Engineering of Rogers is the mechanical and electrical engineer.

There will be noticeable changes to the exterior of the buildings, incorporating brick, EIFS and aluminum store-front style windows. North College bought the land from the Catholic Diocese of Little Rock in August 2003 for $1.15 million. First Tennessee Bank of Memphis is the financier.

Brandon, Hash Build New office

Gary Brandon, Brett Hash and Margie Moldenhauer of BHM Properties LLC recently bought a building permit valued at $1.39 million to build a 28,293-SF office building at 4825 N. Shiloh Drive in Fayetteville. The building is located near the northeast corner of the Northwest Arkansas Mall. Gary Brandon Enterprises Inc. is the general contractor. The new three-story Mediterranean-style building will house Hash and Moldenhauer’s RE/MAX Associates office, Gary Brandon Enterprises and Title Associates LLC, a title company owned by Hash, Moldenhauer and Brandon. Hash and Moldenhauer own the Washington County RE/MAX franchise. BHM will lease the remaining 8,000-SF of space from $21 per SF.

Brandon’s staff architect, Adam Russel, designed the project. The engineer is ESI of Springdale. BHM bought the 1.78-acre parcel from James Kinney of the Macerich Fayetteville GP Corp. of California for $540,000 in December.

First Security Bank of Fayetteville is financing the construction. The building is scheduled to be complete in November.

Dream Structures Come True in Springdale’s Thornbury

Steve Fisher and Teresa Fisher, owners of Dream Structures LLC of Lowell, recently bought two building permits valued at a combined $589,849 to build homes in Springdale’s Thornbury subdivision. Homes range in size from 3,000-5,000 SF and will sell from $360,000. Neal Johnson is the developer of the 125-lot subdivision located west of North Thompson Street.

Lots range from 0.45 to one acres and sell from $61,000-$85,000. Homes will feature granite countertops, hardwood floors, extensive trim, stainless appliances, sodded yards, 100 percent masonry, three-car garages and sprinkler systems. Community Bank of Fayetteville is financing the construction.

Hash Brothers Cash in on Club

Hash Brothers Construction of Cave Springs bought two building permits on April 22 valued at a combined $456,234 to build two homes in Springdale’s Churchill Crescent subdivision. Brian, Robert and Brett Hash are partners in Hash Brothers. Brett Hash owns a total of 24 lots in the 30-lot subdivision. Lots in Churchill sell from $85,000. Hash Brothers has started construction on four of them. The lots average 0.19 acres and have a total market value of more than $2 million. Brian Moore of ESI in Springdale engineered the plat for the subdivision.

Gary Brandon of Gary Brandon Enterprises Inc. in Springdale is the developer of the subdivision located near the Springdale Country Club. Homes will range from 4,000-5,000-SF and sell from $369,000.

They will feature granite counter tops, hardwood floors, multimedia wiring and sodded yards. Simmons First of Springdale and First Security Bank of Fayetteville are financing the construction.

Fairchild Fancies New Youth Center

Fairchild Inc. of Bentonville recently bought a building permit valued at $292,000 to build an 8,000-SF youth center at the New Hope Nazarene Church at 2701 West New Hope Road in Rogers.

Arvest Bank-Lowell is financing the construction. Reid Fairchild said the church is essentially acting as its own general contractor. Most of the labor will be volunteer, and they are hoping to have the building complete by fall.

Mangold Architecture & Construction of Rogers is the architect. Crafton Tull & Associates Inc. of Rogers is the civil engineer, and Spectrum Engineering of Fayetteville is the structural engineer.

The new center will have pastor and associate pastor offices and a prayer room in addition to the children’s and youth space.
