Goodwin Takes Post At Nexus
Emerson Goodwin, formerly director of programs with Community Care Foundation, began a new post on Jan. 1 as president of Nexus Facility Management Inc. The firm provides a variety of contract cleaning, maintenance and construction services.
Goodwin is partnered with CEO Rick Gann, who has owned Nexus for three years since buying it from Jean Beecher in Oklahoma City and moving the headquarters to Rogers. Gann’s previous partner, Scott Wood, left the business in October to manage Distinguished Homes of Bella Vista.
Both said the business will remain the same but Goodwin hopes to expand their clientele regionally. Gann said that one of their clients, Barnes & Noble, has approached Nexus about expanding its contract to include stores in Little Rock, Fort Smith, Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Beecher, who owned the company for 20 years, was brought back as a silent partner to oversee training, recruiting and quality assurance.
