AVF Launches E-Newsletter
A new quarterly E-newsletter is scheduled to be launched by the Arkansas Venture Forum on Dec. 9. AVF puts on the annual Arkansas Venture Capital Conference.r
Tim McFarland, chairman of AVF, said the publication will include “articles authored by some of the leaders involved in Arkansas initiatives and companies that are creating a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and knowledged-based industries.”r
It will initially be distributed to about 700 people.r
McFarland, citing research by the Center for Business & Economic Research at the University of Arkansas, said the state could increase its annual tax receipts by $2 billion if Arkansas improved its per capita income to the national average.r
“Nurturing the development of knowledge-based and other industries can speed the closing of that gap,” McFarland said.r
