Ruby Tuesday Opens in Fayetteville

John Bruton of Nixa, Mo., a Ruby Tuesday franchisee, opened his ninth restaurant on Oct. 21 in Fayetteville.r

The 4,600-SF restaurant is in Krushiker Addition at the intersection of Sixth Street and Interstate 540. The restaurant can seat about 200 diners, Bruton said.r

Bruton also owns Ruby Tuesday restaurants in Bentonville and the Missouri cities of Joplin, Springfield (2), Branson, St. Robert, Jefferson City and Columbia. r

He has three more Missouri restaurants in the development stage.r

Bruton said the Fayetteville restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays and from 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.r

Narendra Krushiker of Springdale owns the property, which is adjacent to the site of a new Hampton Inn. r

Rick Johnson, senior vice president at Ruby Tuesday Inc., said it costs about $2 million to build one of the company’s restaurants. That cost includes land, site preparation, building, furniture and fixtures.r

Based in Maryville, Tenn., Ruby Tuesday had 657 restaurants worldwide as of August. Sales at Ruby Tuesday’s company-owned restaurants totaled $898.4 million in the fiscal year that ended Aug. 31. That’s up 9.7 percent from $819.1 million the previous year.r
