Flicks for Fayetteville

We hear three different entities are looking at putting a stadium-seating movie theater in Fayetteville.

Mayor Dan Coody said Civic Partners and Malco Theaters, which owns the Razorback 6 Cinema in Fayetteville, are both considering such a project. Eric Parkinson, who is spearheading development of a $12 million, 40,000-SF project on Dickson Street, also wants to include a six-screen movie theater there if the parking situation can be worked out.

Coody said he started talking to potential theater developers two years ago.

Currently, the only stadium-seating theater in the area is Malco’s Cinema 12 in Rogers.
