Brass Eagle Sees Net Income Jump 147%
Brass Eagle Inc. of Bentonville, the world’s largest manufacturer of paintball guns and other extreme sports products, said sales for the fourth quarter of 2002, which ended Dec. 31, increased 5.8 percent to $36.2 million, compared to $34.2 million for the same period of 2001.
Net income for the most recent quarter increased 147.4 percent to $4.7 million or 63 cents per diluted share, compared with $1.9 million or 25 cents per diluted share for the comparable period in 2001.
For the entire fiscal year ended Dec. 31, net sales increased 14.1 percent to $104.9 million versus $91.9 million for the same period last year. Net income increased 149 percent to $9.7 million, or $1.30 per diluted share, compared to $3.9 million, or 52 cents per diluted share, for the year ended December 31, 2001.
